Vacation Relief

Job Description

 Brief Description:
Cover for associates while they are on vacation; run fillers, debag bottles, run blow molds and all related filling equipment, with quality being the major concern. Be able to be a team member and work with others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Running fillers, filling out paperwork, changing codes, changing from one product to another, changing and hooking up tanks, sanitizing machines at correct intervals.
Use the pallet jack to move pallets of packages into the plant.
Keep all related equipment running smoothly (caser, overhead case pusher, stacker).
Taste test all product that is ran.
Weight checks.
Clean machine when needed, keep surrounding area clean and picked up and ready for an inspection at all times.
Work with other people and be a team player.
Other work as needed

 Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and/or peer group i.e. manager/supervisor/lead.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions . The employee occasionally works in high places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
